Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue’s annual homecoming Pyrnic! October 8th

All Pyrs and their people are invited to Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue’s annual homecoming Pyrnic!

Join us on Oct. 8 from 12-3 at the future location of the rescue at president Shannon Meehan’s farm. The address is 5924 East Lawyers Rd. Marshville, NC 28103.
The menu includes pulled pork BBQ, smoked chicken, green beans, mac and cheese, potato salad, macaroni salad, cookies, Hawaiian sliders, and drinks.
All Pyrs, including those not adopted from Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue, are welcome, as are other dogs. All dogs must be spayed/neutered, current on their vaccines, and social with other dogs and humans of all kinds. Absolutely no dogs needing muzzled, and no dogs on retractable leads allowed.
We ask a minimum donation of $15 per adult and $10 per child ten years old or younger. All proceeds that don’t cover the costs of the event support the rescue, and we welcome additional donations in advance and at Pyrnic.
We will have picnic table seating, but folks are welcome to bring picnic blankets and camp chairs if they prefer. This is a working farm! Pack your favorite bug spray!
In addition to seeing old human and fluffy friends and meeting new ones, look forward to an update on the status of the rescue and a tour of the new site. We will also be raising funds for the Pyrs, including a raffle and the sale of our second run of soy candles inspired by our Pyrs. We’ll have car magnets and stickers available for sale and information about how to order shirts and other merch in your size and favorite colors through our online store.
Please note, the rain date is Oct. 9. If Oct. 8 looks to be a wash out, we will make that call by 10 am and post it on our social media pages, webpage, and email our listserv.
