We learned that one of our #SleepySunday regulars crossed the Rainbow Bridge this past week. #CGPRAlum Sweet Pea was adopted from us a decade ago. Since then, we have shared many pictures of her on our social media. She was a Pyrfessional snoozler and wonderful representative of the amazing hugs ...this breed gives. This is one of our favorite pictures.
We know that the #CGPRAlum greeting her at the Pyrnic on the other side of the Bridge will show her the ropes. Rest well, sweet girl.

We are going to need y'all to keep your fingers and paws crossed for Ava. That face says it all.
Ava came to us through a foster but originally from a rural shelter in South Carolina. She came to them as a stray.
She is gentle, sweet, and friendly, including to cats.
...
Ava is perhaps 5 or 6 years old. She is thin and has tested positive for heartworms. We can fix that.
But it is her hips that worry us. Ava goes to our friends at Commonwealth Animal Hospital for scans and a diagnosis this week. We hope that we can ease her pain and improve her mobility.
We will share more about Ava this week!
We are so happy that Mary Ann and Wanda were adopted. We have 6 other bonded pairs and one group of three at the rescue waiting for their #FureverHome! All are wonderful dogs looking to share someone's heart! To learn more, visit carolinapyrrescue.com.
Whhhhhhhhhhhat day is it, friends of the Pyrs?! It is our FAVORITE day, #FureverHomeFriday!
This week, we sent a bonded pair to their new home. Sydney, Kurt, George, and Charles became the best of friends with Wanda and Mary Ann! Congrats to all!

Darling Easton came to us through a guardian angel when he was found as a stray.
Like so many dumped dogs, he came to us underweight, malnourished, and positive for heartworms. He will begin treatment soon.
Easton is the sweetest of boys with the best of Pyrsonalities. He loves ...people, other dogs, and cats.
He can be adoption-pending to go to a furever home once he completes heartworm treatment.
To learn more about sweet Easton, read about our placement process and fill out an application to schedule a meet-and-greet at carolinapyrrescue.com.
It is Monday! Time to go to work! You have Pyrs to support! 🤣🥰

Pyrs have been bred over thousands of years to be guardians.
Who says that they can't be inflato flamingo guardians?!

Chesty is new to rescue. This sweet boy is a cold beer of a dog. He is friendly, loving, and, well, Pyrfect.
Chesty came to us when an older dog-lover found him as a stray. While this kind man took care of him until we had room at the rescue, he knew that he couldn't keep Chesty ...forever. As we checked in with this man while Chesty moved up on our wait list, he kept telling us what a wonderful dog Chesty is. And he is!
Chesty loves people. He loves cats. Most of all, he LOVES little Sally, perhaps the smallest of the adult females at the rescue now. They are a precious couple. While we will place them in separate homes, they would be a happy bonded pair, too!
To learn more about Chesty, Sally, or any of the wonderful dogs in our rescue, read about our placement process and fill out an application to schedule a meet-and-greet at carolinapyrrescue.com.
